The Dark Knight Online Slots Game
The Dark Knight is the name of a brand new online slots game from Microgaming that is scheduled to be launched in the summer of 2012 to coincide with the big-screen release of The Dark Knight Rises movie. Another slots game based on The Dark Knight Rises is also planned for release in the summer of 2013.
Whilst the Batman slots game from CryptoLogic has served online slots players extremely well over recent years, the promise of having another slots game featuring our favourite DC Comics character is incredibly exciting. We don't have too many details about the new Microgaming title just yet, but we do know that it will be based on the 2008 movie of the same name and will feature video clips from that movie.
The Dark Knight movie we referred to a moment ago starred Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman and the late Heath Ledger as Joker. It is therefore a very safe bet that The Dark Knight slots game will allow players to step into the boots of Batman and have to overcome the Joker at some point to try and land some big prizes.
An official press release from Microgaming announcing the licensing agreement with DC Entertainment stated that it had secured "permission to develop online video slot games using animation material, themes and characters from the motion pictures The Dark Knight and this summer's must-see blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises. The first of these games will be released summer 2012 and The Dark Knight Rises online slot game will be launched in 2013."
Obviously Microgaming doesn't want to reveal any more details than it has to at this stage, so we will all have to try and be patient whilst we wait for the launch of The Dark Knight online slots game this summer.
